Hi,
One of my friend's collegue is creating a problem whenever some work is pending with her. It is like, complaining about him saying that he is not treating well, not talking well and hurting me, showing bosism etc in mails to senior people. Basically these are all pressure tactics and divert the focus to something else other than the pending works. This demotivating the employees who are sincere in their work, because since she is a girl, usually sympthy on her and getting support within the organisation also seems difficult and many times people are compromising on things. If it continues, the productive people getting demotivated. The main problem is, others also slowly started using this technique. This is becoming a nuisance in the organisation.
Can you please suggest, if anyone handles such situations in office.

Hello Murali, why dont you talk to her and explain the situation. If possible, have both of them sit with you and have a discussion. Ny this way she cannot bluff people, right.
Try to talk to her about her pending work and motivate her to complete the same.

Hi,
This was already done and me it seems she is getting sympathy as well efficiently managing to cover the pending works and getting extra time to do things.
One thing we have observed she is taking advantage of the situation and try to make the issue known to all others very fast so that others come into the scene. How early others enter into the picture she is so successful.
Me, the solution is let the team internally discuss and decide themselves no others should involve, whatever it may be. And the seniors should tell very clearly "if you treat people well, others treat you well".

Hi Murali,

In my considered view the following actions you need to take:

1. Talk to her in one to one situation separately in open ended convesation. Pose the issues one by one and seek her solution. Then give your mind including veiled threats of getting her career ruined and losing her job. Counsel her that we all work for the organisation and are being paid for the service rendered. Try to find out the reason for her such un-natural behaviour.

2. Take your superiors into confidence before taking step no.1.

3.Never be harsh and emotional. Be assertive and understanding.

4.When everything fails in the penultimate start giving her written communications about pending works. Before this you must take from her Action Plan for one month in advance in writing. In this process you must fix no. of days one document should be disposed off and a copy of each lettr marked to you.

5. Do reflect her failures also in her Annual Confidential Report , but take into confidence the reviewing officer. Lest this boomerang on you.

6. Is she a suspicious character girl? If yes, then she has to be dealt differently.
