You are doing an MBA and you dont know what you want ! It is rather surprising that youngsters are very casual about their own studies. What do you mean by 'some literature on training and development' ? First of all, please understand that Trg & Development is a very vast area and you should know what you want in that specific field. I can share something what is available with me. You will then tell, this is not what you wanted ! So, you should know your objective, clear direction where you want to go and how you want to reach the destination. Vagueness will not help you either in your studies or in your career path. Just please be specific.

To start the project you can follow the same:
1) Introduction meaning & importance of training and dev
2) current trends
3) type of training
4) importance of andragogy and pedagogy
Importance of Presentation skills etc
5) training process (TNA/TNI-organizational level, departmental level & Individual level, Training Evaluation-Kirkpatric model etc)
6) Importance of Training Manual, Feedback etc.
Also you can refer the process and procedure followed in any particular company by joining them and observing their trainers...as a management trainee.
