We have applied for Factory Licence, we heve paid fees as well as our factory plann also apporved by factory Inspector. We have applicatioon receipt which is given by Govt. authority for the same.So, my question is this can we start our factory without Factory Licence?? but we have fees receipt.
So, kindly guide me what to do??:dry:

If An Application For The Factory Licence Has Been Made And If There Is No Any Reply By The Concern Authority Withing 90 Days, Then Presume That It Has Been Deemed To Be Approved The Said Application.
Normaly, To Receive The Factory Licence Takes Some Time And You Can Not Wait Till Then.
Once The Factory Drawings Are Approved By The Factory Inspectorate Office And The The Construction Is Also Being Done Accordingly, Than There Is No Issue At All To Go Ahead.

Once you applied for the plan approval and license and obtain the acknowleddgement, it is legalised. so, you need not wait for any approval and you can start the production with out any dely.

This information is all good. However can someone please help me determine under which circumstance do you have to apply for a factory license. We are a trading firm having a business premise in Mumbai, in an Industrial Estate. We have Storage license for our goods in which we are trading. We also have a small chemical testing laboratory in our business premise to ensure the quality of goods supplied by our vendors. This laboratory is only for our own use and is having Stirrer, Weighing Scale, Oven and Dyepot. Now we are being asked by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation for a factory license. Is it mandatory to apply for a factory license even if the nature of business is trading with our own testing facility? Your guidance in this matter will be extremely helpful. Thanking you.
