Dear All,
I am working for a pvt ltd company. We work 6 days a week. This month, I have taken leave on 11th and 12th i.e., Friday and Saturday. Monday 14th was holiday on the occasion of Vijayadashami. So, I went to office tuesday.
My question is, how many days leave should be calculated. Because, HR has marked leave for 4 days.i.e., Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
I would like to know, is that correct or not?
Thanks in advance,
Geetha

Dear Geeta Bhat,
Every company frames leave rules but they differ from company to company and also from state to state. When one is in employment, one must have proper, accurate and sufficient information of such rules, practices and procedures.
If Monday was a holiday to your office, then that day should not be marked as a leave-day, Then only 2 days, i. e. Friday and Saturday should be marked as Leave.
But if it was not a holiday, then 4 days leave is properly marked by HR Department. Generally, weekly off day falling in between a leave is counted as leave day.
