Hello,
One of my senior has advised if Gross salary is reduced from 18000 to 13000 due to some reason say less no. Of days working then the associate's ESI deduction will done for that month till the 6 month's cycle cut even if Gross again changes to 18000 from next month onwards. Per my logic it should not b there. Plz advise.

Dear Member,
For coverage under ESI Act we are to see the rate of monthly wages & not the earned wages for any calander month.

Hello Friends
Our company is MNC company and we have hired an employee who will be working at our operations in different countries.
His appointment mention that he will be placed at different international location for projects (8-9 months). When he will be placed at international location his salary structure will be according to other employees who are working at that location. i.e. higher than that of salary when he will be placed in India.
How to calculate PF contribution in such case as single employee has 2-salary structure.
Please throw some light on this matter.
Thanks
Dharmendra

Hello Ritu
It is right, if ESI is deducted once it will be deducted for six month or till submission of return but it is deducted on rate not on earned salary.
Will be better if you decreased the salary of concern person and rest part can be given to him in other mode like conveyance reimbursement etc.

Hello Dharmender
Maximum limit of PF deduction is Rs. 780/- and it is on basic Rs.6500/- hope his basis would be more than Rs. 6500/- in both structure so you may deduct Rs. 780/- per month.
or
PF is deducted on monthly basis so you may deduct every month @ 12%on his basic pay

Dear Dharmender,
Your are saying that the person whenever will work in abrod his salary will be paid at higher rate. In this sitiutation I think you must show his salary rate minimum 15001 for india also so that in both case ESI will not be applicabale on him.
For Provident fund if your industry has fixed or ceized the contribution limit for pf on 6500 gross then there is no problem and as Saurabh suggest do as it is, But if there is no limit for p.f. deduction then you have to make deduction on (basic + da) whatever for monthly @12 % and that will be also valid.
