Dear friends,

The income limit of dependent parents for eligibility for medical benefits under the ESI Act has been increased from Rs. 5,000 per month to Rs. 9,000 per month. A copy of the notification dated 24.6.2019 regarding this change is attached.

Medical Benefit For Dependent Under The Employees State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950 Increased.

Government of India, in consultation with Employees' State Insurance Corporation, vide notification No. G.S.R. 599(E), has amended Rule 61-A of The Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950. The income limit for medical benefits for dependent parents has been increased to Rs. 9000/- from the earlier limit of Rs. 5000/-. The Gazette notification published is attached.
