Hello,
I have a very important Question to ask. My company follows deemed confirmation process. I recommended them to remove deemed confirmation since most of the employees look for an appropriate probationary review followed by a confirmation letter. Also as the company is facing higher level of attrition since the employees know that they will get confirmed even if they dont perform. To reduce attrition and to confirm employees who are performing, I suggested them. However they are in the opinion of deemed confirmation as it will increase paper work and time consumption of probationary review, also they believe other companies follows the same.
So my question is how important it is to give confirmation letter? Why? How do I convince my management?

How a written confirmation will address the problem of attrition. On the otherhand, if you extend the probation of an employee after review, he may be in an advantageous position of leaving the organisation with lesser notice period as is normally the case with terms of employment during probation. You need to asceratin the actual resons for attrition and address them.
