Dear Friends,
As you all know i am working in Bharath Salt Refineries Ltd as a Human Resource Professional .As we are deploying 1000 members in our company so as our management decide to appoint a Welfare officer.According to the Govt. G.O. the person with IRPM qualification is required for this job.But as a Human Resource specialised person i know about I.R and i studied in my MBA.My question is whether my profile suits for this or not.Let me know the things friends.

Dear Abhiram,
As per factory act, section 49, If five hundred or more workers are employed then, welfare officers need to appoints & generally the qualification of required for the his post is BSW or MSW (Bachelor Social Work or Master in Social Work).

Dear Abhiram ji,
Qualification for Welfare Officer under FA is not generally BSW / MSW. It is depends upon the State rules in this regards.
You need to see the rules in this regards as framed by appropriate Govt. of you.
In Maharashtra, to qualify for this post one has to give viva-voce test and get himself enrolled in the list maintained by Labour Department. Disqualifications also are mentioned in the rules.
Notification under the Maharashtra rules in regards to qualification of degrees / diplomas, has listed as many as 20 and more such degrees / diplomas as recognied, to my knowledge.
