[QUOTE=karthik351;2090533]Hi Swaati,
Simple,When you are not comfortable with your manager.. Pls look for a Job Change..cos you can even coordinate with your subordinates but cannot expect the same from your manager.

Dear Swati,

I feel (Cite Contribution) has given you a good advice. If you had tried for a formal meeting but were unsuccessful, put everything on mail to her what you wanted to talk. If further things don't improve put a mail to the director or talk to him making him understand that the incident was not intentional and what you are going through. The mail sent to your manage may be used as reference if required when required to prove that you tried all the means to sort out the situation.

It seems obvious that your manager wants you to quit, one reason may be you are performing well and she is not taking it positively.

I feel you should not quit without putting your point. In both cases you may have to quit, but if you communicate your concerns with appropriate people atleast there are chances that things get sorted out.

If you quit just like that, it may affect your confidence in the future endeavour. However if you have to quit after making all the possible efforts, you can and should continue in this company or any other company with confidence. Later you should not regret that you did not do what you should have done.

Best of luck.

Hi Swathi,
In today's world, people in organisations try to show their personal emotions and anger onto someone else( ex:manager to subordinate), but not viceversa.
So, as i read through all the replies for your topic, they have rightly suggested that these kind of things happen in work life. its better to learn from mistakes and not make them again.
Since being a part of HR dept or a HR is a very responsible job.
So, dont get worried of these stepping stones and move foreward towards you goal!!

Hi Swati,
Regarding your issue , i also gone through the same kind of situation with my last manager. But i deal with the situation. Like if she is not giving you any work and you should also not take it seriously. U=You should start ignoring her but very smartly . She should feel that her behaviour is not causing you disturbance . She will feel more annoyed and all. And after that her true picture will automatically comes in ur director's knowledge. Meanwhile search for another job. But you should face the situation smartly first.
Thanks

Dear Swati,

I have gone through your problem, It looks that something you have commented in the reply mail that spoiled your manager's image in front of other managers or the relation of ex-employee with your manager should have affected due to your comments. Now you are only the person who knows that what you have commented and the comments took serious effect on your service life. In my opinion now you should keep quite and observe your manager's movement, don't react. this phrase will pass away. Only you should keep control on loose talking against your manager. Once you realized that you have committed mistake then you have to suffer for some extent. Don't resign from your services unless & until you get super job. I think in this period you can complete your pending work or the data collection which help you in future. Take it positively if you are not wrong then the manager will automatically realize her mistake and every thing will become normal.

Do not tell to every one regarding this.
Just tell to your director in front of her.
And look for a new job after selection just handover the resignation letter to her in front of everyone (and also your manager's presence at their) and tell her: THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS ACT, Hope you may approve this from Director and clear my dues very soon. and spot your hand on your heart and tell your soul inside the body::: ALL IS WELL.
It will works.

Dear Swati,
All of us have difficult situations in our professional lives. Though you are hurt at the moment, do not allow this trivial incident to disturb your life. The best act, will be to stay put. Though you are willing to be occupied, your Manager is not reciprocating. So just stick to the your present duties & this phase will pass. Changing jobs at this point of time, to escape the situation, will not help. If you are looking for career advancement, learn all you can, in your present role & look for better opening here or elsewhere.
All the Best

Dear Swati,
What I understand is that the ego of your Manager has been hurt and she is not
able to adjust with it and she is reacting im maturely thus you need to put
serious efforts to patch up with her ego through mediator to have healthy working enviornment .
