Hi friend, I am from malaysia, regarding to preparing the Holiday list of 2012. Our Organisation follow the calender year format. Pls share if anyone have it.

List of Maharashtra State Public Holidays-2012

The Maharashtra Government has declared 19 days as Public Holidays for 2012. In addition to this 5 holidays fall on Sunday. 2nd April, 2012 (Monday) & 29th September 2012 (Saturday) shall be Bank Holidays.

The holidays are declared as Public Holidays u/s. 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act 1881

Dear Member,
Go through the Act under which you are to grant/declare holidays for your establishment.In general Ambedkar Jayanti (14th April) is not a mandatory holiday.If the appropriate Govt derclare this as mandatory holiday then we are required to follow the Govt notification, if applicable to us.

How to contribute Voluntary Provident Fund if employee Basic Salary + DA = 20000 and he wants to deduct 100% i.e 20000 as VPF, please let me know the calculation of the same and how to make entry in ECR file.

PF deductions cannot be more than 20%. 12% is compulsory, thus from his side only 8% can be deducted. Also the company has no obligation to contribute more than 12% as PF. so 8% on Basic+DA will be as VPF
