I agree with Kapil, except that in case of new employees whose salary in more than Rs 6500/-, EPF is optional

Dear Rohit,
According to Section 12 of the EPF Act, an employer cannot do so. But in case, if employer is currently deducting PF on higher than prescribed limit of Rs. 6500/- and depositing the same to PF Office, in that case, employer can reduce and limit it to Rs. 6500/-
But changing this criteria is not at all easy. You have to go through series of procedures for that.

Hi Friends,
We have already submitted contribution of pf for March month, but in Feb month one employee joined for 9 days took salary and left. But we have not registered him in pf nor we have done his contribution in pf since he left.
But in salary sheet, we have deducted his pf and esi.
Can I submit his pf , esi for feb month now. Is there any way out? ITS URGENT PLEASE HELP.

This discussion before 1.9.14 was OK.The EPF limit was increased to Rs 15000/-pm.from Rs 6500. w. e.f 1.9.14 .
