Here we are talking wherein the boss has already slapped the employee. There is no godfather for the employee in the organisation. Even if he complained to the Higher authorities it would fall on deaf ears. The boss would go on committing the mistake again and again. However, to restrict him to commit such an mistake I would advise you to teach him a life time lesson. From White collar we have to turn to blue collar and give him a befitting reply with a bigger slap in front of every one and leave the job. I bet he wont have guts to repeat the same again.

I would agree with with you Jay..!
But this needs lot of guts..coz..firstly, Monica is a women, the issue happend is not for Monica and the employee sued was not in the organisation currently and may be some of the people of Organisation might not want to involve in such kind of issues.
Monica if you would really like to teach a lesson to him, better find a good job when ur service is damn required for ur company, take all your prospectus from Organisations, after notice period is issued and on the last day of your working, insult him badly for the mistake done by him infront of all the staff of his employees with whom he have to work from next day on wards.
However, ensure that you do not fall in risk in teaching lesson to him. I really appreciate you for such revolution.

Srivani.

Monica,
It is time for you to leave. Please let the boss know why you are leaving.
You will find a job.. If you can not take the risk of leaving without a job, look for a job intensively and don't stop... then when you do go, make sure you let the boss know why you are leaving BUT LEAVE.

Tell the slapped employee to immediately file an FIR against the employer who has slapped him. With that FIR copy tell him to immediately file a court case without any delay.Take this matter to the court.Filing an FIR is just a formality to start the court case.In a professional atmosphere no one is allowed to slap an employee no matter what.It is totaly against the law.

boss behavior should be idealistic and he should be patience enough. in the above said scenario boss is very aggressive and he is completely unfit for a boss. he forget the principle of natural justice also .
we are all human . we have emotions but slapping or beating a person because of we are above the hierarchy is completely intolerable and can creates a worst kind of scenarios, sometimes we need to pay more. its better to look for a other / good job and before leaving u just discuss this issue with your boss. but remember it should be in a polite way. don't argue with him . .. if he learn from a mistake it can be a good tradition or else he will face the same at one day ... being HUMAN

I wonder why no one else is bothered. Or probably they are not taking a risk by showing their disapproval.
You need to figure out why that is.
One possibility is that for each of them this job is important, and they can't get a similar one immediately. Or perhaps they believe that the boss is doing the right thing. The action you will take should depend on what the answer is to the above.

Hi all,
I totally agree with Mr.Dinesh,
I also remember one of a case in my first company. I joined as trainee hr overthere and we have a team of 5 . One day our boss startet using very bad language like"Dharamshala samajh rakha hai kya, n says nahi hota to shadi karke ghar baith ja. To one of my female colleague. Next day she resign n left the company. But wat we all as a team, written a mail to our V.P keeping in CC to our boss,N given the formal warning, that this kind of behaviour will not be acceptable any more. From that day onwards our boss is changed.

You are forgetting perhaps 2 important differences here :
1. He is the owner. There is no VP or any higher authority to complain to
2. No one else in the company seem concerned that he has behaved in such a manner.
