In reply to Probation topic one member Namely Vishari said that in her iso company they keep employee on wage for three months and then take on muster roll and that will be a date of Joining for the employee.
I just like to draw her attention in case she is responsible for compliance under the PF/ESI/ and other related laws. Check whether the said statutory deductions are made from the day they enter into organistaion of from the day they are taken on muster roll. This is very crucial and if by ignorance there is any flaw in compliance the employer may invite a trouble

its depend upon cadre to cadre, the probation may be for 1 yr to 6 month and no probation for higher level.

You have not mentioned the post of appointee.If the catagory is of manager,the
period of probation would be matter of company"s policy.In case of workman under
I.D.Act1947,and Industrial Employment(standing order)Act 1946 being applicable
probation period should not exceed six months.

There is typing error in my reply.The probation period for those governed by Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act 1946 should not exceed three months(In maharashtra).For others ,it is amatter of policy of establishment.

June, The Probation period for all Posts / Designations is as per your compnay policy, advice you to first understand the Company Policy so henceforth all documents prepared by you would be correct.

In general Probationary period may vary n depend on post to post. Every employer has own approved standing order( As Model standing Order) , where category allready been define n probationary period n leave, bonus n all rules n regulation have been mentioned . So that Ist b read our standing orders n decide accordingly. Purpose of probation is to look after the employee's performance n confirm on the post as appointed.

Understanding u the matter has been assessed. First it depends upon the company. About your resume it depends but as of now u can explain the proper role according to the resume u have done. first know the cause why he has reviewed your resume again. think logically. try to explain him openly. In order to secure the job or if u are confident of getting another job jus leave it and dont pressure ur self. if u are pressurising urself then u can not fight him out. this is my sincere advise.

Plz give me advice how HR department should avoid arising future problems in my company/firm.
