1. Block as per LTa mean year starting from Apr and ending at march. So u can claim LTA even if u return back in Jan09.
2. As the above answer is in affermative, u need not consider further.
3. u cannot carry forward ur unclaimed LTA. Under income tax Act, an individual let 2 LTA's in a block of 4 year as correctly told above by you.
4 & 5. U can claim LTA's in a block of 4 year whenever u want to. In case the company dedutes TDS on that account then file ur IT return and claim the income tax dedcuted on LTA.
