Dear Friends,

I have different view on this question....

Strength and weakness is depent on the situation and what position they are looking for...

1. for sales representative, talking about product or service is strenght. If they over do, that is weakness.

2. Communication skills- Need to be communicative, what is needed. if it is more-weakness.

3. Hard working is strength ( always doing overtime due to procrastination is weakness).

4. Always working smart is strength doing politics in the organisation is weakness.

5. Alertness is strengh and intruding others activities and job is weakness.

I personally feel, this question is asked by interviewers to know, what is the skillset useful for the position to be recruited. If any weakness compare to skillset required, HR shall work for improvement area. If Sr. manager is emotional , focus on Emotional intelligence training programme etc.,

Example. If some Sr. Management staff is good in strategy , planning etc.may not be good in computer skills like presentation and type writting skills etc. Need to give direction for improvement

you may focus on the strengh and weakness related to the position looking for.

When you talk about your strengths you can say you are sincere, hardworking dedicated etc. But do not overdo it. Always tell something believable because your body language and eyes give you away.
When you are talking about your weaknesses talk of simpler ones like I can't wake up early in the morning so I try to finish my work at night itself. or I am workaholic. So I regularly meditate to keep myself stress free. Something like that. But remember do not dwell for a long time on the answer because these are slippery questions which are asked to see if you slip or not. Concise answers and realistic approach with conviction will be appreciated by any hr. I am sure all the people here agree.

In this modern career oriented world, you should be careful enough and not let anyone know about your weaknesses.Obviously nobody is perfect but atleast by keeping an optimistic approach towards life,we can reach to the pinnacle of perfection.Never disclose your weaknesses in an interview because it might not lead you to the job.Make your weaknesses your strengths by carefully analysing yourself.

For Weakness, you can elaborate the following-
I put myself & other team members/teammates, in sense of urgency of any assignment, resulting in error in the assignment.

For Strength-
I'm always navigate key innovate practices in <Task>/<Organization>, for establishment of benching-marking practices and solutions.

Strength is one you do better in that and Weakness is one you can not be confident on completing the given same .It needs some one to mentor on the same so as to convert your weakness into strength.
Strength---You Know better
Weakness---Opprotunity for improvement--.You ned someones help.
