Your should not have joined the new employer till you are relieved. this amounts to double employment.
Since you are not relieved, you may request the bank to permit you to withdraw the resignation and continue to work.
Furhter 10 days working in other organisation is very small period to dicide the suitability. Having worked continuously for 24 years in one organisation you may find it difficult to adjust immediately. Also, you need to close your employment in new orgainsation.

May be of some hurries this was happened...Dont bother about the thing which was happened.
But ONCE WE TOOK THE DECISION, WE HAVE TO BOUND...
In your case two ways are there:
1. Relook the new jobrole, why it was not fit/suitable as ANY CHANGE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE immediately...things wont happen as we wish...
2. Directly contact your previous employer and explain the situation...and agree your mis-step...and convince them to get back

We have in our Company a policy to re induct an ex employee after his reesignation, within a stipulated period of three months, if his PF has not been settled to take them as a fresh recruitment with all benefits except continuity of service and with the employment agreement that he will serve the company for next three years. There is no guarantee to be posted again in the same place but can anywhre where there is a need.Mostly these kind of reenetrant suffer from discomfort and are always de moralised for some period of time. One should not take hasty decision in leaving a company without checking the new propective employer. Sometimes the culture and people in a new company is not acceptable to us.
So make an appealing letter to the top management and see if you can be re accomadated again or be firm to to stick to your new job whatever challenges it may have.

Comments from my fried is quite right. One has to be very sure of taking such absolute decisions, once decided you should not look back. But if still you want to surrender and withdraw resignation, following methodology would be right:
Have word with your immediate superior and convince him that you regret this decision and wish to withdraw your resignation.
Ethically its not right that while serving notice period you have worked somewhere for couple of days and experience difficulty than wish to come back. Your choice how and what fact you place.
Once you get some assurance, than placing a letter for withdrawal of resignation regretting you this decision will be appropriate.
Your commitment and credibility in existing organization will play rest of the role.

The other side of pasture is always green. Inspite of being experienced for many years many of us still make this mistake and regret it later. I am sure you might have done some background of the job being offered before accepting it. It's not a good thing coming back to the same organization that too afterwards when you have left them abruptly. You have made a mistake here. In case the bank has not initiated the legal proceedings against you, you can approach your immediate supervisor for reinstatement. We don't know in what capacity you resigned and in what capacity you have joined here. If you have joined here in a very senior position they would have done your background verification by now and your bank might be knowing where you have joined. Also please talk to your present employer of the issues bothering you, he may attempt to resolve it. In 10 days nobody can either like/dislike a company. I can only hope that you don't have mid career shock since you might be on the other side of 40s'.

its a normal practice to rejoin your bank or say withdraw your resignation.
Tell them that there was some family urgency at native place due to which i had to take this decision and now all is well so i am back as a honest worker of this bank.
I am sure your HR and reporting manager will understand and will take you back positively.

I am agreeing with Mr. Bhatia, you should adjust with current copany job as you have accepted the offer and joined there.
