Dear Shimit,
I do not think you are replying in appropriate manner. You are very rude and rigid. Calm down you are not fighting here. Help is never asked on gunpoint. Be humble and and then initiate again.

Shimit,
You are to begin a Project and you can't spell the 'Topic' correctly, and then you ask if that does really make a difference.
Had you done any research on Competency mapping, the least one would expect from you is to spell it right.
And one last thing, you are so rude and stubborn to all of those who are actually making an effort to reply to you and guide you in the right direction. You possess no courtesy. You must keep your attitude in place, else you will reach nowhere!!

If a senior member is guiding you and telling you the correct spellings, i dont think it is right way to reply. and yes it makes a difference. Your way of talking is really questionable.

I never seen this kind of thread, if anyone real intention is to get the knowledge, then his approach is not like this. and for everything you are blaming the members.
thanks for guiding the members what is the right path to follow. and these all 3 pages atleast now you know the spellings of Competeny mapping.

Hi Shimit, This document from Sunrise had helped me to understand the concept well when I had started competency, you can go through it if you had referred it in the past. Regards, Uma

Dear all,

Shimit has reflected on his approach and apologised. I have exchanged private messages with Shimit and for the sake of brevity, I have just reproduced my messages to Shimit.

The idea of posting it here is two fold: one, to enable others to benefit from the links that I have given Shimit; two, to request people to give as much information about themselves and their quesries after doing their home work. The idea of giving a link to a web page with my brief profile, is to request people to give details about where they are from, where they are studying/working, etc.

Have a nice day.

Simhan

Dear Shimit,

Your apologies accepted.

I am not angry or upset. Kindly see the 11 posts in the thread referred to above and see whether you have added much to improve the situation.

I have taught students for over 20 years and have been a student all my life. Even in retirement, I learn from my students (such as you). The best way to learn is not to be spon fed, but by reading, digesting and reflecting.

I have some guest and more in my next message. In the mean while see the book at and digest it.

E- book on Competency Mapping..!!!

As I said before read and digest the various links that I and others have suggested. For the benefit of others, I will post my private replies to you in the general string. Instead of posing questions within a short time, take your time to read. I am sure it will take hours to read the two books suggested.

Had you searched the web using google and the key words from your question, you would have found this very informative ppt presentation at http://www.slideshare.net/iapsych/macm-overview which was found at http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...onship&spell=1

You can see my profile at http://promentorconsulting.page.tl/About-Us.htm

Can you please give more info about yourself?

Simhan
