Hi Srikanth,

I worked 265 days in the 5th year. As per your comment, I am eligible for Gratuity. I spoke with HR of my previous company. They mentioned that they are linked with LIC. Due to this reason, they informed me that I am not eligible.

Can anyone guide me on the procedure for how to claim Gratuity payment legally if my company is denying pay?

Have you legally claimed gratuity? Are the dates you mention supported by company given documents or records?

Hi Srikanth,

I have not claimed gratuity legally. I approached the HR persons, but they have not confirmed my eligibility for Gratuity and have not responded to my emails regarding gratuity. The dates I mentioned are supported by company-provided documents and records.

If they deny it, and I need to make a legal claim, how should I contact the labor office? Do I need to visit the office in person and contact them directly, or should I email them with the supporting documents? Please provide me with the procedure for contacting them legally.
