Dear sirs,

Aadhaar linking is not mandatory for bank accounts, similar to EPF accounts. As per the Honorable Supreme Court's orders, it should be insisted upon for those who enjoy monetary benefits from the government. In such a situation, EPFO must not demand Aadhaar linking to EPF accounts. They may insist when a member or their family members opt for a monthly pension. They are not ready to show such exemption from the court. Is it justified as per the court's orders? Seniors may kindly review and confirm their valuable views on the above issue. It would be highly helpful if clippings are attached.

The verdict is okay, but if you want to generate Universal Account Number (UAN), you should have Aadhar. The name, date of birth (normally the Aadhar taken some two or three years back will have only the year of birth), etc., should match with the name given in the PF records. You cannot tell the computer that the Supreme Court has said that Aadhar is not mandatory.
