The workman who is covered under ESI scheme not required to be covered under WC/EC Act. In other words WC act is applicable in those case where ESI scheme is not able to covered.
There are so many areas and location in our country where ESIC is not exist and has not able to make coverages. In those area/locations must be covered under WC act.
The ESIC Scheme is providing social securities such as medical treatment , post death benefits, pension to dependents ,etc.
WC policy provides the cash compensation to the nominee of deceased workman.

b. Is the Work Area comes under ESI Notified area.
c. How the Principal Employer is planning to mitigate the risk. Are your having any master policy ?
Anyways do call me @+91-9686576678. I hope i can give you certain tips to move forward.

Hi,
If am not wrong,
Employees compensation Act is ofcourse is a alternative arrangement to cover the employees in lieu of esic where ESIC ZONE is not declared. However ESIC Act also provides for opting any other insurance cum mediclaim scheme that provided better facilities and welfare facilities than what esic is providing. Also One has to take appropriate exemptions under the act where in after approvals from esic dept one can opt for any other better scheme of welfare against esic.
Thanks and warm regards
