My friend was in a call center for almost 6 years. She hardly got any increment during this time, even though she got promoted to trainer. Due to salary issues, she discussed this with her manager, but received no response. Consequently, she decided to resign on the spot. She managed to secure a good job with a higher salary package. Since she had already informed her reporting manager about her job search, he reported her to HR for looking for another job.

Anyway, she handed in her resignation on the spot, but the Vice President and HR informed her that they would not accept a sudden resignation. They warned her that she could go absconding, which meant she would not receive any pay from the company. She left behind her one-month salary since her previous month's salary was due on the 23rd.

Now, as I want to help her, I want to know if she is eligible for her gratuity. Please help.
