HIS EXCELLENCY ..............................……
We take this opportunity of placing before you just a little note with a BIG BIRTHDAY WISH, to someone who is very special, on his ............ birthday We hope your birthday and the coming year is as wonderful as the time have known you.
A message sent to you has to be just right. It has to be thoughtful and sincere, just like you. It has to let you know that it is sent with a big, thankful smile. It needs to let you know, just as soon as you read it, that it's from someone who cares so much about you and your happiness.
It needs to be something you can read for this moment, but something you can remember long after this day is through. A birthday message for you has to be as perfect as perfect can be, because you are someone who's very special... to ..................................................

Well celebrating b days in organisation is a very good practice.
According to my opinion u should actually celebrate employee's b day on the same day bc this will add more pleasure n happiness to his existing mindset.
As dipti said that u can put a chart in the recreation room or a notice board evryone can sign it n later on you can frame it n gift it to the employee, i think this will be best gift anyone can ever get ... what do you say about it .... and rather then sending them e greetings u can always give them greetings bc e greetings generally last for 30 days but original greeting will remain with the person forever and also u can take everybody's sign on it. you can change the practices every year.

Hi
I totally agree with shark. The main intension of celebrating a birthday is - to make the associate feel that the management is also giving importance to his/her personal life. Celebrating on the same day gives more pleasure to the b'day boy/girl and at the same time the co employees will also enjoy. We can not get the same enjoyment when we celebrate on some other day. Moreover most of the employees will not feel good and we celebrate on some other day.
Thanks

Hi,
If you have limited staff, it may be possible to have celebration, but if the number of employees is too large, it may not be practical to do so.
The best method is to send birthday greetings through a letter, which the employee receives, the first thing in the morning upon reporting on duty.
The text of the letter may be changed every three months or six months, just to give it a personal touch.
We must make sure that any practice we are starting continues in future also. It is for this reason it is advisable to keep it simple and workable.

Hi all
I am also of the same opnion as many of you have said that birthday should be celebrated on that day itself and not at the month end. That robs the occasion of its charm.
Also i feel that along with the mail, if you could also call that person up amd wih her/him personally, that will be even better. I have tried it myself and have got tremendous results :icon1:

Hi all
I also think that birthdays should be celebrated on that day itself and not at the month end otherwise it robs the occasion of all its charms.
Also i feel if you could wish the person personally over phone (incase the employee sits in some other branch office) that would be great. I have tried that myself and have got tremendous results. It makes the employees feel very good.

Dear Ankita,
You can prepare a list of B'days and put it on the N Board so that every employee can aware about the nos. of bdays are falling in the same month.
Simultaneously, you can send B'day wish on his/her birthday on same day throu mail or a letter on behalf of the managment and inform every employee that his/her bday will be celebrating on same day before half an hours of closing the day. Yes, I know you will ask about the cost will be involved in that. I donot know what is practicing in your orgn. & you can make a policy that every employee will be contributed for celebration of __________ amount so that you can buy something for him/her.
This way you can create friendly atomosphere in the orgn.
All the best.

A card signed by everyone
A nice birthday prank - like making the person feel a little scared / nervous / confused example:
You could tell the birthday person that the Management has decided to hold a seperate meeting along woth the Birthday boy/ girl and the HR. Ask them to be prepared and prepare a repotrt on all what they have doing in the last week
Last log in web page and time and last email sent.
List of website they usually visit.
This an be asked just one hour before the meeting...
After the person reached the room - let all the lights be switched off.. when he swithes on thelight - everyone can be preent in the room with a cake to celebrate!!! and finally the card signed by everyone!:-D:-D:-D
