Dear Salvam,
It depends upon the company policy, in the event wherein there is no such policy it has to be through respective Department Head, In his absence it should be through the permission of reporting manager and HR both

Hi All,
As per our Company Policy, the project lead first signs the Permission slip, as he is the right person to know the work pending. Once he Signs, the operations manager signs the same and the Employee is allowed to leave. In absence of operations manager the HR Manager signs the same.
Best Wishes

Dear Friend,

Generally in Corporates and its factories, Permission Slip is signed by the function superior. He is the direct boss seen immediately. That is the reason. He is the one who is ultimately answerable if his subordinate is missing from the work place. But, if he himself is little experienced etc. to avoid clash in these circumstances for example, they follow something called the grade level authority. Ex. Only Jr.Manager level onwards can sign etc. Further check is that it will be cross checked at the Security Gate. Then only let go.

These Permission slips filed are to be forwarded ofcourse finally to the H.R. Head and he in turn will tabulate and forward it the Dept. concerned if someone goes out frequently using permission slips.

One request to you on the basis of your approach. Feel you have EGO and there is a EGO clash between H.R. and Admn. there. Pl. avoid this atleast for now as I feel you very young.

Kindly relax and ignore. Afterall it is someone going to shoulder that risk and why do want to carry it on you till you are not sure that it is your duty.
