No ,the calculation is Last drawn monthly salary/26 multiplied by15 again multiplied by no of continuous years of service.Monthly salary is basic+DA. Varghese Mathew

as per gratuity Act after 5 years completed in service, these employee are eligible to claim for gratuity & as per you stated above you have completed 6 years 7 months i.e. 7 years. means that rounded of formula will be follow here for calculation of gratuity.

Dear Mohan It should be 7 years. Once an employee completed 6 months it will be considered as 1 year after 5 years this rule will be applicable With Regards S.Kothandam

Dear, You are eligible for 7 years to be taken calculation of gratuity. 6 month or less than 6 month to be ignored and more than 6 month is conducted full year.

section 4 Para sub section (2) that "For every completed year of service or part thereof in excess of six months.Please clear what does in excess of six months mean.if someone worked for 5 year 6 month 0 days then will it be 5 year or 6 year for gratuity calculation.
