If he has well in academic career, then definitely he will get interview calls and ask him not to worry about placement.
Just tell him to concentrate “where he is lacking” and that is more important.
Getting frustrated is not an ultimate solution for any problem.
Suggest him to relocate any other city like Pune, Bangalore etc. where he will get more opportunity and more interview calls.
There are so many candidates who might be didn’t get job through campus selection but some other resources help them to get a better job.
Keep trying and keep searching.
