No, look again. RCSConsultant researched the company and found info that made her think twice. And you, CiteHR Admin, are being played. "HRMadam" and "StrongHires" registered on 8/2/04 and 8/3/04. They are the same person. This person has been hitting websites all over the web that mention RipOffReport.com (ROR) and attempting to defame them. He's apparently connected with a talent agency (it's gone through many name changes but appears to be now) that was the target of many consumer complaints on RipOffReport.com. It's a long ugly battle that's gone on for a while and escalated particularly in mid-July 2004. He's particularly fond of posting links to and among others. (There's your equal time, "StrongHires".) You can view a list of his postings at <link no longer exists - removed> ; that's where I first found him.
If you're going to take ROR with a grain of salt, do the same with any links/info this guy posts. Unlike ROR, whose targets include MANY companies, this guy has got a single-minded agenda. ROR's complaints about Options Talent / Wilhelmina Scouting Network / Web Style Network / Trans Continental Talent / Fashion Rock / eModel / Hirebug came from MANY consumers, while it's just this one guy spamming message boards containing ROR comments with links to sites he's alleged to have authored or aided with to begin with.

We did get that impression. Especially since we were getting hits from google & yahoo... almost 5-10 hits per day with for search term "hirebug."

Good. To answer your question the AG has released both a public statement and a letter to its' file that you get, call the Florida AG. The ROR site is being sued and exposed as an extortion site. As professionals you should be concerned what that site could do to your company. If I am a competitor of yours I can ruin your reputation on the site in ten minutes and you will NEVER be able to get it down. Try it, post something about a company that does not exist, and also use fals sign in info that they claim they verify. We should all be extremely wary of such sites and work together to ensure hate sites are regulated and taken down.
