I am Ms. Suvarna from Pune working in a medium size IT Company as Administrator from last 4 yrs. Initially I was handling front office and admin responsibilities but from last one year, we have appointed front office executive and I am handling admin and some extent HR activities. I am not a HR person but looking to the current situation I have decided to opt MBA in HR. I have taken admission for MBA correspondence course from YCMOU, Maharashtra.
My condition is not worse like Debasmita but yes definitely I am also facing lot of problems. There is no separate HR dept, no written documentation but still I manage to do some work like Time keeping, Leave Policy, House keeping policy, appointment, confirmation, relieving, experience formats, regular notices on various issues, Yr. Holidays, some emp. Welfare activities, some events etc. etc.
I have developed some Office Policies (but not all) with the help of my Director, and one of my senior (He is a Project Manager and working with the company from last 5-6 yrs) colleague and fortunately with the help of that, our internal and departmental working is smooth.
Currently I am trying to develop Performance Management System and Employee Handbook.
For PMS, I need to develop Job Description and KRA, KPI. I have started this work and done 40%. But still I have to do remaining 60%. Can I get help on this? I have searched lot on Net, but for some positions I have not found any sample JD and KRA like Team Leader or Module leader (S/w dept). So I have just written Programming. But then how do I create KRA and KPI? Lot of confusion.
Can not explain everything here. But I need lot of Guidance from Seniors like you people.
