Hi Neha
Nice that you feel good.
It would always be a bitter task to implement procedures which are time managing and effective, among disrespectul and unlawful employees.
best wishes and good luck

Dear Neha,
Make them understand the disadvantages of using security people as office boys. tell them what u r doing, is not for your benefit/ personal interest, but for the organization's betterment!!! while telling this, if you can, also highlight incidences where business got affected coz of security people doubling up their role!!! Its difficult to convince them at the outset, but gradually they would realize the significance of the same.
All the best and go ahead. Always keep this in mind : U shouldn't be disturbed by other people's reactions.

Dear Neha,
Change and resistance always walk together... so if you have introducded some regulation they will understand.. so don't worry and never loose your confidence on your decision you have taken a good step.

Dear Neha,
Separate person to be hired for Office boy work and security purpose will depend upon the ability of your company to recruit new person for differnt role..I would rather suggest you that this two responsibilities should be handled by two different persons.. as security is an important issue it should be handled independently...As an HR you should clearly define the role and responsibilities of employees...Also if two diff roles are handled by the same person thier is bound to be some big mistake in the future...remember prevention is always better than cure

I think if you are going to change any practice in your organisation first of all you have an approval of higher management. Then its easy to make them ( all reluctant persons) understand, othewise people want to run their own even they do not able to run their home carefully.

Dear Neha, It will take some time for the people to accept to new conditions and rules... but i am sure that slowly they will accept it.....Have u taken approval from ur Top management.... i think u haven't as u mentioned that seniors are also not acepting :icon1: . if u do so it makes ur work more easier. don't loose ur confidence defenetly u will become successful in this.:icon1:
Even i faced the some situations like this where top management and employees didnot accept the new rules that i made but later everything came on to the track.....Hope u will get days like these :icon1:

Even u need to think from ur seniors point of view... may be they r thinking about the financial things ... becoz as of now both the duties r being handled by a single person but now as per to ur rule they need to appoint one more person and need to pay them......... think once:icon1:

Dear Neha,

as HR we should keep in our mind that "change is the only constant factor" & as agents of change we must always do innovative & new things but it would be opposed by people as they would be made to come out of their comfort zone so to ensure that you have their full cooperation ensure that you explain your reasons to them properly. Think before your act & never regret your decision.

All the best
