Dear Ravita
Twelve leaves what the company gives it is said to be PL/EL so it can be encashed yearly this is called EL-Earned Leave/PL-Privilege Leave so your company is not giving you CL-Casual Leave or SL-Sick Leave....

Okkk , now I understood,
Yup u are right, because no matter how many leaves employees are taking through out the year, they are deducting salary on pro-rate basis but at the end of the year they are giving money back for 12 leaves.
Thanks for the clarification.
I am clear with it.
Thanks a lot,

Dear Ravita,
Please refere to your company plicy first. Get a soft copy or hard copy study it well. If you have probation period, the leave counting is different. Why are you getting tensed? Once you go through your policies then get your queries solved by your company HR. And if still you have like acoording to labour law. We will surely guide you for the same.

Hi Smitha, I went through the policy, doesn’t matter whether u are on probation or confirmed. Rules are same for all. Only 12 leaves.

Dear Ravitha,
Its nice you have understood the issue from Mr. Ramkishore. As you are travelling with your company and not with the consultant, you need not to bother about the consultant and its rough behaviour. It all happens in the field.
keep sailing in the company and know all features from your HR dept and suggest your views of your own (not quoting consultant ) as one of a employee. The consultant job was over once he/she placed in the job and for which they can say anything irrelvant to the Act and the policy. Defenetly, your company shd have their own policy and it will be adjusted according to the situation and policy of the Govt or local body then and there. So, be patient and concentrate more on your area of work and forget about consultant and their words.
All the best.

Ravita,

I think you need to and speak to your HR or your director (depending on whom you were recruited by and whom you have a good equation with.

Tell him that while being recruited you were promised so much leave by the recruitment consultant. And now you have found the leave rules here are different from normal industry practice.

Make immediately clear that you have no,problem with the leave rules, but you are concerned that the company reputation and employee satisfaction will suffer if the consultant gives wrong info to prospective candidates and then tries to bully them. And that younwanted tombring this lecuna to his notice so he is aware that the consultancy is giving out mis-information. Ensure that you have made clear that would have joined irrespective of whether you were told of 12 leave in a year or full spectrum of 28 days given by others and that you only wish to get it to their notice so that they can take corrective action as far as the consultancy is concerned.

I think that should suffice.

Don't bother If they do take action or not. You have done your duty of informing them. Concentrate on your work and achieving success in your work in the company.

Dear Ravitha,

Need not worry about the company policies or about the consultancy as you know job consultants will be having targets for recruiting and hiring employees during this phase they do not discuss the issues like you are facing now so its over pls forget about it and regarding your leaves in your company...we cant change the policies of a company which is maintaining the same since 5 yrs. I kindly suggest why don't you look for some other job bcoz what I understood was u are not satisfied with your company policies after all job satisfaction is important for an employee on the end of the day. There are many companies with very good HR policies good allowances and benefits(leaves) and going for another good chance is not wrong. Feel this as an experience and please clarify all the policies prior to joining in the company and this has to be done only with the concerned company Hr, consultancies are no way concerned regarding the policies as they are meant for mediating between employee and employer. Anyways All the Very best. have a nice day.

My sugession is today ur in the company means its because of the consultancy only right. In any company there will be the CL,PL,SL's.

You can manage that with ur company.

Again your suggestion is required for my peace of mind.

I recently joined a co. I was send here through a consultancy. Company is good, management is also good. Over all I am happy with the company.

Issue is this that I was told by consultancy( before I attended my very 1st round of interview in the co.) that I will be getting all leave benefits here in this new com. During interview I did not discuss leave point to management as I was already committed by the consultancy.

Recently I came to know that here through out the year only 12 leaves are provided. No PL is applicable to any of the employee.

When I tried to talk to consultancy he talked in a unethical behavior. He said oh my god you are having so many problems u can not get these many leaves in all the co, we are also not getting in our co. any PL etc. etc.

Finally he told me tell me clearly do you want to continue or I will talk to management to replace you.

I just wanted to clarify his mean by all leave benefits to employee which is not here at all ,so could have correct for futures candidates.

I could not think what I should do. I can resolve the issue with the management at my level as now I am part of the co.

But I WANT HIM TO TEACH A LESSON THAT HE SHOULD HAVE NOT TALK TO ME WHETHER I WANT TO CONTINUE OR NOT BECAUSE CO. HAS SELECTED ME ON MY CAPABILITY. HE WAS JUST A MEDIATOR FOR WHICH HE WILL BE PAID.

being an employee of the company I can discuss my points with the Co, who is he he to ask for my decision whether to keep or replace. He just need to clarify on his wrong commitment.

Please suggest me something,

But I wish my reply to consultancy should not effect my relation with the co. as they have been nice to me.

Please Guide me what should I write to him, for his rude manner.

Please suggest , awaiting yours reply.

Regards

As per the labour law, every company should provide 1 day EL/PL for every 20 days worked. This is mandatory.
