Hello Yograj,
It's good that you have listened to the sane advice of so many members--some from their own experience & others by virtue of being in HR & seeing both the sides of such situations.
However, your ACTUAL problem/issue STILL REMAINS to be resolved. Pl let the Forum know if you have any plans/ways in mind to handle your primary concern--GETTING A JOB ASAP.
Let's take it from there & see how best this Forum can assist your search. Anil has already suggested a few angles--pl give your remarks reg them. There's one thing that seems missing in your background you mentioned--you say you have 2 yrs exp in process industry. Then why did you leave that job, WITHOUT anything in-hand?
All the Best.

Hello Mr Yograj,

Some useful suggestions have been posted by senior members and I am sure you are working on them.

I wish to add my ideas and hope you would find them useful too.

You are a Mechanical Engineering Graduate with a PG Diploma in Administration and you have done

private specialization courses like Auto CADD etc.

It is very important to connect all these in your job profile.

For example, after having done CADD if you are doing only Shop Floor Maintenance,

without any scope for practical application of CADD and other courses it would not carry much weight.

Again if you are working, let us say in your drawing office using CADD and other applications,

with less or not much of human interaction, the PG Diploma may not be viewed in proper light

by any interviewer.

Acquiring additional skills is good, but it is like getting a Passport.

Like you need a Visa to go to another country, you need relevant post qualification experience.

However, if you can connect everything that you have written and the ones which are

relevant but not spelt out, put all the facts together and get the ‘resume’ recast.

I am sure it will pay dividends.

Wishing you good luck in your endeavour,

Hello Sir,
Thanks for Concern..
Actually i have done a private course in Cadd Software(4 months) after my b.tech.
becz i was not able to find a job in that particular area, i have decided to join the offer i was getting at that point of time (process Industry as a Assist Shift Engineer Production.)
So During my job i have decided to go for PGDBA (Post Graduated Diploma in Business administration) in OPERATION MANAGEMENT & i have recently (Nov 2012)completed it & it was during my current job (correspondence)
Thanks

Hello Yograj,

Going by what you mentioned, suggest shoot for openings where your ACTUAL experience--production in a process industry--will hold good.

Since your first posting in this thread mentioned 'MNC', I presume you were trying for openings in CADD areas. But since you don't have any real exp to back the qualification, this could be the main reason why you weren't getting any calls & the Gurgaon consultant tried to take advantage of it by telling stories.

Once you settle down in a job, you can then try again for CADD openings--this will ensure you are NOT under any mental pressure while handling consultants or companies. Even then, pl bear in mind that it would be tough, since the very same reason--lack of relevant exp--would apply. To handle this aspect, MAYBE you can do some part-time/freelancer work in CADD areas to gain AND project real-time exp.

But if you are still in the current production job, maybe you can begin the freelancer work now itself [one advantage you have now is that you are in shifts--so your time-table is, by & large, clear & planning your free time is in your hands].

All the Best.
