Greetings Deepak,

Your statement that your current company has no work culture is a cause for concern. If you deny your prospective employment, are you confident whether you will be retained in your current employment for longer duration. If you are confident that your present employer will not play such a trick then you can stick to your present employment.

In my opinion the bond with the new company, generally becomes operational only after an employee joins the organisation. But you have stated that you have still not joined the company. So you can explain your prospective employer suitably.

You will appreciate no job offers a combination of all our expectations, some jobs offer excellent compensation but does not match our expectation on roles. Some jobs offer good recognition and role while the compensation does not match our expectation. So you have to decide as to whether money matters for you or recognition.

Reading between the lines you seem to enjoy the position you are in presently (level in hierarchy). Regarding working hours, I wish to state that most of the executives will agree that we work for atleast 12 hours in a day on an average. Some event in the recent past in your current employment has prompted you to search an alternative employment. You will have to sit down and analyse the real cause for your exit. It is not number of employees or the work culture or working conditions. I am inferring this because if these were in your mind, you would have quit this employment soon after you joined. Hence, my suggestion will be to analyze the root cause for your exit and think over as to whether this condition will not arise in your prospective employment.

The solution lies in your introspection to get better clarity.

Hello friend,
We all wish you a bright future. BUT.............. pl give a second thought before you change the job as to whether :-
The Company you are going to join is a bigger one in terms of reputation and size.
What is the working atmosphere in the Company, specially related with you & your job.
What are the promotion/career growth avenues, etc. etc.
What is the job security.
If all the answers are in affirmative, go ahead and enjoy the new assignment. Else, think twice before quitting present job just for the reason of higher pay or geographical location which suits you.

Dear Deepak,
Kannan's reference to the Root Cause technique triggered my brain. The other tools that you can use are the Force-Field Analysis and the Means-End Chain. The latter is similar to the Root Cause Analysis. You have to ask "why? to get at the reason for changing your job and then ask what stops you from doing it. You can find more details about these at mindtools.com.

Dear Deepak,
As you have mentioned that you have signed the legal docs of company B and you are still with A, dual employement is against the laws it can lead B to take legal actions against you, I agree with Snisonko, you have also signed a bond with co. B they have right to raise a recovery of 3 lac against you.

Hi Deepak,
1- yes the company have right to raise recovery against you as per the signed bond I wud suggest you to check your notice period that you need to serve in case your joining date of company B comes earlier than your last working day in the current company you can ask B to buy out the same or try to get it waived off by your current employer otherwise your background remarks can be negative.
2- in this case B have rights to take legal actions

Since you have not resigned from the current company and not joined the new company, you are on a safer side, but again as I mentioned earlier the forum cannot advise you with regards to legality, before reading the bond and its nature/terms and conditions. If you cannot share the bond in the forum please visit a lawyer and take advise.
