It is a legal requirement Under Indian Electricity rules that the person must be authorised as per rule # 3 of IER.
Further such aperson must hold a wire man permit/ Supervisors certificate from the state Electrical inspectorate. Failure to follow rule 3 attracts criminal action in case of an accident
