A lonely frog telephones the Psychic Hotline and asks what his future holds.

His personal Psychic Advisor tells him: "You are going to meet a beautiful young girl who will want to know everything about you."
The frog is thrilled, "This is great! Will I meet her at a party?" he croaks.
"No," says the psychic, "in biology class."

Clever Kids

There was a farmer who raised watermelons. Some local kids who would sneak into his watermelon patch at night and eat watermelons disturbed him. After some careful thought he came up with a clever idea that he thought would scare the kids away for sure. So he made up the sign and posted it in the field. The next day the kids show up and they see this sign, it says, "Warning!! One of the watermelons in this field has been injected with cyanide."

So the kids run off, make up their own sign and post it next to the sign that the farmer made. The farmer shows up the next week and when he looks over the field he notices that no watermelons are missing but he notices a new sign next to his. He drives up to the sign, which read: "Now there are two".

A lesson in life

A child came home from his first day at school.

His Mother asked: 'Well, what did you learn today?'
The kid replied: 'Not enough. They want me to come back tomorrow."

AVS,

Bagavath Gita Lessons are wonderful; really needed.

In the first slide you say ' This powerpoint presentation' is no attempt to promote or patronize any religion ''

well I understand your intention behind the statement.

However vide this reply I wish to state that equating Sanatana Dharma with other ''religions'' is not appropriate; Sanatana Dharma christened as HINDU religion by foreigners is not a religion in the conventional sense...

This Vedantic thought is essentially universal in appeal and does not promote or insist on one way to the exclusion of every other... So to equate Vedanta with "religion" or particular sect is not apt...

So my request one need not be apologetic in sharing insights from Vedanta....

Psychologists from west have come to agree there is rebirth; Karma theory is given credence now; Einstein has admitted for quantum theory ADVAITA philosophy & Bagavath Gita were of great inspiration....

One can boldly say , "Veda says..... Gita says......Upanishad says..... Dhamma padam says...."

cheers,

VRanganathan
