In my opinion ,you teach them how to write the alphabets properly and stress on good handwriting .Our handwriting speaks volumes about ourselves to others the way we are .
Good handwriting ( and correct alphabet formation ) inculcates basic values like honesty , compassion , persistence ,courage , responsibility etc. The handwriting is a very good tool for child development .
