hi, I want some ideas regarding how to reduce the absenteeism in the factory level Regards Lubina.

Take this up as a project and set a target for two years. Divide this target for the first year then for the second year
If you want to achieve 2 percentile reduction, then set .5 for the first year and 1.5 for the second year.
What all you need to do
1. Receive absentees report daily and mark people who are taking off without prior intimation
2. Counsel them the next week
3. Issue advisory letters to them if they repeat. and warning letters etc
4.Analyse long absentees and issue them letters
5.Issue letters to those who have not completed 240 days in the previous year Issue them letters, that they wont be eligible for gratuiuty after conducting an enquiry
6 Visit some of the chronic absentees homes and talk to them
7 Conduct training programmes about the effects of absenteeism
may be you can add another 5 to 6 activities and start doing all at the same time You will find reduction in the first year But you will find drastic reduction in thje second year
