The nominee of the employee will be eligible for PF/Pension /EDLI.
With regard to ESI :- Dependants Benefit(DB) : DB paid at the rate of 90% of wage in the form of monthly payment to the dependants of a deceased Insured person in cases where death occurs due to employment injury or occupational hazards.
(f) Other Benefits :
Funeral Expenses : An amount of Rs.15,000/- is payable to the dependents or to the person who performs last rites from day one of entering insurable employment.

As told by Mr. Lakshminarayanan, funeral expenses amounting to RS. 15,000/- and EDLI benefits from PF can be claimed to the tune of RS. 1Lac + depending on the number of years worked.
The company management can consider some ex-gratia payment, based on the number of years the worker has worked on a humanitarian basis for the deceased family. In case the management so desires can provide job to one member of the deceased family.
