Hello everyone
I want to confirm about salary calculation.
Suppose, the salary of an employee is around 50,000 per month.
How do we calculate the salary for the 30th days month?
How do we calculate the salary for the month of 31st days?
How do we calculate the 28th day salary? in Pakistan.
If the company calculates my salary as 50,000 per month on the 31st day of every month and in September I have worked for a full month of 30 days?
But as of 31st day: Salary per day: 1612.9
30 days salary: 48,387.0
But if I have worked for a whole month, why is the salary deducted here?
Please tell me the correct method of calculation.

The salary is paid for the full month, irrespective of the no. of days in the month. Wages are calculated by multiplying the wage per day with the no. of days actually worked.

Hi,
Suppose, the salary of an employee is around 50,000 per month.
In case of loss of pay the calculation should be as under:
How do we calculate the salary for the 30th days month?
50000*No of days (Payable)/30 = Salary amount (50000x29/30)=48333
How do we calculate the salary for the month of 31st days?
50000*No of days (Payable)/31 = Salary amount (50000x28/31)=45161
How do we calculate the 28th day salary?
50000*No of days (Payable)/28 = Salary amount (50000x26/28)=46429
Hope the above is in order.

Dear Mr. Suresh
Always while calculating the wages/salary we should not consider the Sundays. Hence only 26 days only considered.
In an year total No of days = 365
Total Sundays = 52
Balance working days = 313 days / 12 months = 26.08 days i.e., you can say it as 26 days.
Hence in all the months irrespective of January or February or April you can consider 26 days.
Divide the monthly salary by 26 and multiply with no of days present. You can also justify your management / employee accordingly.
If you have any query please do not hesitate to raise it here.

Dear Mr. S Bhaskar,
With due respect, I would like to submit the following in relation to the calculation of wages due to absenteeism:
What formula do you employ for employees who work five days a week? Is it 365-104=261/12=21.75 days i.e. 22?
As an example, suppose an employee earns Rs.26,000/- per month, and his daily wage is 26,000/26=Rs.1,000 per day. If he is absent for one day in September, his salary for the next 25 days will be Rs.25,000/-. When divided by the number of days in September, he will receive a salary of 26000*29/30= Rs.25,133.
As the MW is inclusive of weekly offs and payable for a full month's presence, the 26-day devisor is used to arrive at the daily wage under the Minimum Wage Act.

Suresh
