I am quite unable to think that such a type of organization with the kind of managers dominated by rudeness and ruthlessness in getting things done at any cost would be an ideal place for women employees. Since just three or four months only are due for her delivery and she is legally entitled for 8 weeks pre-natal leave, the poster should duly inform the employer of her pregnancy with proper medical certificate and in the meanwhile she can make a representation to the CEO to assign her works of lighter nature befitting her present condition. After availing the maternity benefits, she can later decide about her continuance in the present organization.

Thankyou so much sir, there are managers like this.. i dont have my office in local my HO is in south, so they will say we cannot give any light work .. my delivery is due in mid December.. but this person has made my life hell.. can u please advise mr tht i should raise this issue along with his loose talk issue to my all india Head HR. Or should I inform my HR head about my pregnancy as my HR subordinates are very well aware about my condition nd this persons behaviour but no action has been taken (might b because of my verbal communication) i am thinking of documenting the same to MY HR head. My organisation is quite big of 2600 employees.. but sad about all this behaviour..

Madam,
IF your expected date of delivery falls in mid-December, you can go on pre-natal leave of 8 weeks probably from mid-October. In the mean time, it is imperative that you should be free from unnecessary employment stress and strain created by your immediate superior. Better you can ventilate your grievances formally to the Corporate HR-Head through proper channel which would make him correct his approach.

As per my thinking your senior indirectly forcing you for resignation. If you resign, he will save company to pay maternity leave of 26 month with pay. In maternity period company cannot remove you from services. Bear him tactfully till this month and then apply for maternity leave.

Hello Dear,
As i read above about you. thats your Manager is forcing you to do all hectic work not to giving you light work and help you any more . i would suggest you that please take deep breath and have patience to fight with him legally. First of all you can inform to your HR about you pregnancy and planning to take leaves in near future. and inform them by documenting about rudeness of your Manager. Because this time he is trying to create pressure on you to put your papers down. Dont be panic, be confident and go against him legally. he can not do anything until you are not giving any chance to him.
