Dear Cite Members,
I have a query regarding ESI benefit.
In case, a person who is not on rolls of the company has worked in an organisation for a day or two, (the organisation has made ESI Contribution but he is not registered under ESI.)
met with an accident, can he claim for ESI benefits...?
In case, if he can avail benefits, what documents are required by ESI department for further processing?
Request your valuable suggestions.
Regards,
Bharghavi

Dear Bhargavi :
Pls clarify whether the person met with an accident inside the factory/work place. Has he submitted the ESI declaration forms to the management ?
In my view, if a person works in an Org which is covered under ESI and if a employee meets with an accident even on the first day of his employment, he is eligible for ESI accident benefit.
Hope this meets ur requirements.
