Hello friend,
It will depend on leave policy of the company. Generally if weekly off is between "Casual Leaves" or "Sick Leaves" it is counted. An earned leave or privilege leave it is not counted.
Of course there is an interesting case that a person goes on Casual leave on Saturday and falls sick on Monday will Sunday be counted? This is one of the interesting "HR puzzles" no one has been able to solve !! :)

It depends on the leave rules of the organisation.
Generally closed holidays are not included while availing casual leave.
In case of Privilege leave or earned leave, closed holidays are counted
but the closed holidays before (prefix holidays) and after (suffix holidays) the leave period are not counted as leave days.
Please read the leave policy or leave rule of your organisation.

Hi Mukesh & other Friends,
First of all know about your organisation, whether the Factories Act or Shops & Establishment Act is applicable.
Accordingly know the statutory specifications w.r.t leave.
Say, according to me, as per FactoriesAct, In case of annual leave or Privilege leave or earned leave, closed holidays are not counted as leave days.
Here Closed holiday means Sundays or weekly offs or the declared holidays for the year.
Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

hi
If he is having Earned leave in his / her account then sundays will not be counted.
casual leave will be considered for one or two days only not for long leave.
In case of medical leave, after producing the necessary certificates, he / she will be eligible for wages.

As per my company rules & regulations weekly offs will not be considered as leave. It totally depends upon the rules of your organisation.

Hi !
This will depend on the company's leave policy. Generally Sundays in between leaves are considered as "Sandwich Leave". For example, if a person is on leave on Saturday and consecutive Monday, then Sunday will also be considered as leave. In this case 3 leaves will be considered although he has taken 2.
