I somehow do not agree with this quote, it gives a wrong message. why can't we change reality? and why should we change the eyes that see it?? Of course, we can act against the reality if we want.

I think this quote teach us about Positive Thinking.
Every individual have different way of looking towards the fact.
some may take it in positive way & some may take it in negative way.
So if you are looking towards the fact as a problem you will fill it as a problem & if you take it in positive way then you can give the result in better way so change the way we look.

I agree with what you say, but i would want to highlight that there are some REALITY which cannot be looked at in a positive way, there are instances when you come across things which cannot be categorised into positive or negative, its just a reality.
SO for such situations this quote gives out a wrong message, this is what i feel.

Nice topic to discuss.. I agree with Shreeram some times reality cannot be changed instead we should search for a brighter side of it and accept it.. Because bad experiences will also have lessons to be learnt by every one.. Don't you think so..

You cannot change reality, when a person tries hard...very hard to achieve something...after he realsies he cannot anymore.. he loses, he surrenders...then he accepts(the truth)...during this transformation evolves positive perception...and changes his eyes to look at it in a different angle...

Reality cant be changed but an effort can be made to inprove it, and i agree v can look at the brighter side but shouldnt overlook it.
Now for eg: Poverty thats a reality which can be improved and there is no brighter side to it, so we cant change our eye towards it

Things are neither Positive nor Negative, we only categories it in two different categories.
BUT unless we categories it we can react to the same.
Eg: If you can not swim this is reality & if some one throws you in water & if you can not swim is reality & you believe the same or look at it in the same way then you will not survive. BUT if you look it at positive way then you will move hands to survive & you may survive.
Mind is the driving force to the world you see isn’t it?
some time it happens that you are looking towards some one but actually you are NOT, I mean your mind is some where else so even after seeing, towards that particular person just because your mind is not with your body you can’t see the person.
same way if your mind is driving force & if your mind think positive then the view to look towards the thing will be positive & if mind & body is together then you will take positive move.

I do understand that things which can be changeable only changeable-and things, though controversial than the reality, it will take more time to change-at huge cost.
