General office rules:
1. Do the alloted work ( Primary rule ) :D
2. Be Punctual ( Both in time and out time )
3. Avoid Gosips ( It saves time and energy )
4. Inform to the concernd person well in advance if you are planning to take leave. ( Health related issues - exceptions).
Thats it for now.. will update if i come across anything.

2.Know others profile(for proper communication and task mgt)
3.Use time properly
4.Know ur org.and its A---Z
5.In difficulty access to seniors(For better and timely customer care)
6.Know proper discipline and decorum to be followed and maintained

i am working as HR executive with a newly established education centre where no general office rule and discipline about each and every activities before my joining this company.my problem is that i m well versed with general HR activities but not having any experiences in how to make HR rules for daily activities like people are not singing muster in spcified colum, doing self corrections in musters, not informing if they are on leave or on Out deuty, sitting much time in cafateria,crating noice on reception after a much reminder, always have jenuine reason to come late, always doing complaints if company providing any benifits to them..like dropping/ fooding facilites. so please help me out by providing your precious guide line in making the rule and desipline structure and HR manual.

Do have a long session with ur MD,Seniors and explain why it is reqd for OD/Discipline,Proper Human Management..I am sure they will guide and have suggestions to form any rule and regulation.
Be open to ur seniors and tell that w/o such you are handicapp and there is no binding of mgt over staffs...
