What does an intervening Holiday mean?
Is the intervening holiday and weekly off the same?
Can CL and EL be clubbed with weekly off- for, e.g. the weekly off in our org is on Sat and Sun. So if my employee applies CL for Thursday and Friday, can he apply? If yes, then how will the leaves be calculated? Will his salary be deducted for Sat and Sun- as the rule suggests, no leaves can be clubbed with CL.
Please suggest.

If the weekly off days are Saturday and Sunday, an employee can apply EL or CL on Thursday and Friday or Monday & Tuesday. In this case Saturday or Sunday will not be considered as leave days.
But if the employee enjoy leave on Friday and Monday then Saturday and Sunday will be considered as leave.
