Good Day! I am a member of the HR department and I have prepared full & final settlement of one employee.
As per our company policy, the employee has to serve a 30-day notice period and his 30th day was a Sunday. So he worked till Saturday. Shall I prepare a full and final settlement by his last working day on Saturday or Sunday? He was already relieved from the organization.
please advise.

Hi,
If the end date of notice period falls on week end say Sunday or any National /Festival holiday day then Employer at their discretion may relieve the employee on prior day or later date after the end of holiday period.
If your employee worked till Saturday then salary should be processed till Saturday only and Sunday should not counted. By the closing hours of Saturday employee is already relieved and no need to pay for Sunday.
