The EPFO Head Office, New Delhi vide their circular no. WSU/2023/19/para 26(6)(E-108547) dated 02.06.2023 provides for the enrolment of an employee as a member of the scheme whose monthly pay is more than the statutory wage ceiling (presently INR 15000/- per month), i.e. who is excluded from the mandatory membership of the scheme. The paragraph also enables a member of the scheme to contribute on actual (higher) pay in a specified manner with a joint request.

Can you kindly elaborate on which scheme the provision relates?

We know that a member enrolled after Sep 2014 and having Basic salary above 15000/- cannot become a member under PF pension scheme.
