Understanding Notice Period and Employment Termination: ATG Scenario Explained - CiteHR

I joined this organization on 15th Dec 2022, and as per my appointment letter, I have to serve a probation period of 6 months. If I resign before 6 months, I have to provide a 1-month notice. After confirmation, it's a 3-month notice period. For instance, if I leave before completing my probation, I have to pay one month's gross amount to the company, and after probation, I have to pay 3 months' gross.

Now, my question is, I am not resigning and am about to complete my probation. If my company initiates ATG (Ask To Go), am I eligible to receive the 3-month notice amount from my present employer?

What do you want, Mr. Saroj Kumar? Do you want to continue with employment or for the employer to terminate you? What is troubling you? If there is any apprehension that the employer may ask you to go, and you believe it will happen after confirmation so that you can get three months' salary, you are mistaken. No employer who has decided that the employee should not continue will confirm him in service and then ask him to leave by paying three months' salary as notice pay. Instead, such an employer will always ask him to leave immediately by paying him one month's salary as notice pay. I hope you have understood what I have written.
