Hi All,
I am very new to this group,but happy to be a part of such a wonderful forum.
Can someone help me in taking the interview effectively.Infact i am working as a teamleader-recruitments.But i am very confused as what to ask the candidates while taking the interview.We do recruit for insurance,retail and so on.So kindly help me in selecting the right candidate pls!!!

Thank you so much.One more clarification, while talking to freshers,is it enough to do just the ice breaking session or probe more to find out whether they really are in search of a job. :)

Hi Nisha,
The question list attached by Ms.Kanupriya would be useful for you.
Moreover you need to update yourself on the specific industry vertical
For example, if you are hiring for investment banking, you should have
basic understanding on that industry, major players, common terminologies,
concepts etc. Additionally you can ask the concerned line manager to
get you a brief write up on the required competencies for the candidates.
Being a recruiter, you should update yourself on a continuous basis
The mode of interviewing is also important ( may vary from level to level)
Try to get some good books on effective interviewing and update yourself

Freshers are all interested in jobs unless they are determined to study further. So you should rather evaluate a fresher in terms of commitment towards work, thier long term & short term career path. Their willingness to learn new things & adapt themselves to the corporate environment.
