If you are manufacturing a product and if you are running a factory for manufacturing purpose, you may require permission from Inspectorate of Factories, by way of licence - which is called as
Factory licence.
Whereas, A trade license is a document/certificate that gives the permission to the applicant (person seeking to open a business) to commence a particular trade or business in a particular area/location. However, the license does not allow the holder to any other trade or business, other than for it is issued.

Trade license = Primary document to identify any establishment by name and ADDRESS, it is issued by local municipal body in urban and by panchayat in rural
This the tax which is collected by municipal body for use of premises as commercial and disposal of waste from such establishments
all establishments engaged in any type of commercial activity have to obtain it, as it is primary proof of existence of establishment
whereas factory license is needed for establishments where 10 or more persons are working in a place where electrical power is used
all trade license holders may not have factory license, but all factory license owners have to get trade license,
