Hi Pallavik,
At present our travel policy is as :
2 wheeler - INR 3/KM
4 wheeler - INR 6/KM
I am in process to revised the rates for Air/Train booking and hotel accomodation as well.
I'm not aware from when this stated mileage allow for 2/4 wheelers are being in force. Is it applicable for both commuting between resi. & office and/or travel on official duties as well. In any case these rates may be revised upward to be line with fuel prices etc. A revision keeping in view the avg.mileage per ltr of fuel and city riding conditions may be appropriate. I would suggest to revise it to a minimum of Rs.5/km & Rs.12-15/km.
Reg. Air/Train & hotel accomodation- it may be reasonable, if you consider not to strain your co's finances by adopting prevailing rates of carriers/hotels, to fall in line with the rates prescribed for Central or state govt. employees under TA rules of FR/SR. Higher slabs/rates are also may be fixed for senior officials to suit their status & needs to ease their official exigencies. Copy of a circular is attached to help you in the matter.
