Dear Ms. Malvika,

There are provisions making it compulsory on the part of the employer to issue wage slips to the employees covered under the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, or the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, as the case may be. If either or both of the Acts are applicable to the establishment and the employees, you can lodge a complaint with the Inspector under the Act, either formally or informally.

Before talking of legal action, first approach management verbally and then in writing about the issue of salary slips. If nothing works out, then consider seeking legal help by approaching labor authorities. The legal position is well explained above by a learned member.
